Spicy Apple Butter

Ingredients
- 5 lbs tart cooking apples (McIntosh, Granny Smith, Rome Beauty or York Imperial), peeled, cored and quartered (about 10 large apples)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Combine apples, sugar, apple juice, cinnamon, nutmeg in slow cooker.
- Mash apples with potato masher. Cook uncovered on LOW 2 hours or until thickened, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
